Walter Schmidt, born 1967, has been a member of the management of ista International since October 2003. At first he was responsible for Corporate Services/Finance. Walter Schmidt has long-standing and wide-ranging professional expertise in the area of heat and water submetering. He started his career in 1986 at Techem AG. In July 2004 Walter Schmidt became CEO of ista International and ista Germany. From 2010 to 2014 Walter Schmidt is the President of the The Association for Energy Cost Allocation (EVVE).

Christian Leu

Chief Financial Officer

Christian Leu, born in 1965, is the CFO of ista International since May 2006. In 1989 he began his career as an analyst at Compaq Switzerland. After having held several positions at Compaq Switzerland and Compaq Germany, he worked seven years as the CFO of the holding company of Leico Geosystems.

Jochen Schein

Chief Operating Officer

Jochen Schein was born in Oettingen, Bavaria, in 1972. He graduated in business engineering at the University of Karlsruhe, majoring in computer science and operations research. He began his career in Munich in 1998, working in an international management consultancy firm. In 2003 he moved to the Essen Holding of ista, taking up the position of project manager in Corporate Development. In 2007 Jochen Schein was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) of ista Deutschland. In July 2010 he took over as COO of ista International.
