"Integrated billing" automates the processes involved in issuing bills at the interface between the customer and the metering service provider; either all the information relevant to billing is collated in the real estate software system of the customer or an intelligent Internet link is created between the ista IT systems and the real estate software.

This cuts time and money and eliminates potential sources of error.
Moreover, the heating cost/cold water bill of the metering service provider can be integrated into the operating cost bill of the real estate company and so the tenants/owners only receive one user-friendly document containing all the details.

In Germany ista is cooperating with various software producers, e.g. Aareon AG and ESS AG, on integrated billing and is planning to expand this service by entering into cooperation agreements to cover all important real estate software products.

At present, ista looks after over 140,000 housing units with the integrated billing software in the GES system, the leading product of Aareon AG.
