fumonic® - Tiny Helper with a Great Effect

The life-saving smoke detector fumonic® is hardly larger than a coffee cup. It is a battery-operated, optical smoke detector for domestic premises with acoustic signal function. Together with the installation service, the function check and the tenant service, the fumonic® comprises the new ista smoke detector services package.

The fumonic® works according to the so-called stray light principle. This means that there is a smoke chamber on the inside of the device, in which an LED emits light rays at regular intervals. If the chamber is free of smoke, these rays to not hit the lens, because the surface of the smoke chamber does not reflect any light. However, when smoke penetrates the camber, the light beams are scattered and lowered onto the lens. The smoke detector triggers the warning signal and continues the alert until the chamber is free of smoke again!
