ista acquires a provider of intelligent heating controls

Essen, 23.01.2023. ista takes over the Spanish service provider Wintel/Habidat and expands its service portfolio with a service for intelligent heating management. The service builds on the existing devices in the boiler room and breathes intelligence into older heating systems: Heating energy is actively and automatically controlled and adjusted to the actual demand in the building. This way, ista helps its customers reduce their building's energy consumption and carbon footprint. The service has already been launched in Spain and the UK and will be successively rolled out in Germany, Italy, Austria and Switzerland this year.

New appointments to key posts: Nils Engelke appointed CIO and Michaela Hitzberger CTO of the ista Group

Essen, 12 January 2023. Nils Engelke is the new Chief Information Officer (CIO) of ista with immediate effect and is therefore responsible for the global IT of the ista Group. At the same time, Michaela Hitzberger was appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the ista Group and is therefore not only in charge of the corporate strategy but also the technology and hardware strategy.

Conversion of ista into a European Company (SE) completed

With effect from 1 September 2022, ista Deutschland GmbH and ista International GmbH became ista SE. With this conversion into a Societas Europaea (SE), ista has chosen a legal form that is recognised beyond the borders of Europe, and is thus underlining its international focus.

Momentum for ambitious CO2 targets: ista concludes second ESG-linked financing of some 450 million euros

Essen, 27.09.2021. The energy service provider ista is diversifying its financing structure. As part of this, the company is, for the first time, issuing an ESG-linked Schuldschein in the amount of some 450 million euros. The same rule applies again in this round of financing: it is linked to the company’s ambitious sustainability targets. The Schuldschein was concluded with international and local investors.

New CEO Hagen Lessing intends to cut ista's CO2 emissions to zero by 2030

Essen, 1 June 2021. The new ista CEO Hagen Lessing is making climate protection the focus of the corporate strategy: From today on, we will already be operating carbon-neutral, and within the next 10 years we will even cut our CO 2 emissions to zero , Lessing announced as he took up his new office. Lessing is taking over the running of the company from Thomas Zinnöcker, who retired on 31 May 2021.

Using the all-in-one energy management solution means that up to 15% of the energy costs of a company or a site can be saved, therefore considerably improving the carbon footprint.
