Benefits for owners and residents
Our data-based products and services make individual energy consumption transparent to residents so they can save energy, costs and CO2. This in turn makes it easier for the owner to increase energy efficiency and therefore the value of the property. So residents and owners together actively contribute to climate protection. In average every household saves 20 % of its annual heat consumption and costs. Every year some four million tonnes of CO2 emissions are avoided by our customers and their tenants in Germany alone.
Our product and service world is digital-based. Our device infrastructure makes smooth data-based building data management possible, doing away with traditional on-site reading of energy meters in particular. This increases convenience for residents and owners as it dispenses with meter-reading appointments and waiting times and reduces data and process management times.
Our digital infrastructure can also be used for other applications, such as digital smoke alarm devices which can be remotely serviced, therefore increasing residents' safety.
One step ahead
Today, we are already making our product and service world fit for the Internet of Things. In the near future, billions of smart devices will communicate directly with each other. As a driver of innovation in our industry, we are therefore systemically gearing our building infrastructure to be IoT-capable. So we are already in a position today to develop solutions and use cases with our customers for the intelligent building of tomorrow.

Oliver Sporrer, born in 1969, has been the Country Manager for ista Middle East since November 2016. He has wide-ranging experience in the metering and submetering industry in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East, having held several management positions: e.g. Director of Operations at ista UK and Branch Manager of Munich at ista Germany. Before starting his career, Oliver Sporrer received his master’s degree In Information Systems at the University of Bamberg.
Head of Sales
Ameya Hate, born in 1983, has been with ista ME since 2010 and is heading the sales department since end of 2016. He has over 12 years of valuable experience in technical sales of HVAC and sub-metering solutions in the UAE. He is one of the technical authors in “EmiratesGBC Technical Guidelines for Retrofitting Existing Buildings”. Ameya is a Mechanical Engineer, with MBA degree, a LEED Green Associate and a Certified Professional in Owners’ Association Management.
Sreenivasa Reddy, born in 1976, joined ista ME in 2009, having held several management positions since then. He is a certified Energy Management Professional with a bachelor in Electrical Engineering and a Master in Business Administration. In a career spanning more than 20 years, he gained valuable experience in various fields, including Smart Metering and Energy Management Services. He managed several projects which involved Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) including after sales services in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
Imtiaz Hasham, born 1974, joined ista ME as Operations Director in 2018. He has valuable experience in the Telecommunication, Utilities, Financial and IT industries. In a career spanning more than 18 years, he has been successfully involved in redesigning and implementing business processes and systems for operational excellence in USA, Australia, Qatar and UAE. Before joining ista, he worked at FOXTEL and Qatar District Cooling Company in various management positions.
