ista's symphonic M-Bus system operates on a sophisticated level, enabling the centralized and real-time monitoring of multiple utility meters including heat, water, electricity, and gas. This system utilizes a master-slave architecture where a single master device communicates with up to 2,000 slave devices (meters), collecting and processing data through the M-Bus (Meter-Bus) network. This wired bus system ensures a reliable and secure transmission of data, which is encrypted for added security. The M-Bus is designed for minimal energy consumption and can operate over long cable distances, supporting diverse building layouts.
