QuaWonen relies on ista for smart energy management in 15 complexes – with lower costs, fewer failures and a step towards sustainability.
QuaWonen works together with istaDES to manage the energy supply of 15 complexes with a total of 1,023 homes. The project includes both technical and financial management and contributes to QuaWonen's sustainability goals.

The complexes have gas boilers and gas absorption heat pumps, but the heat pumps were idle. The goals were to improve energy performance, gain more insight into the processes and strengthen communication with tenants.
To address these challenges, the gas absorption heat pumps, which were still operational, have been put back into operation, although their operation turned out to be less favourable than expected. For the complex in Krimpen aan den IJssel, a feasibility study has therefore been carried out into replacement by (hybrid) heat pumps in order to guide sustainability integrally and cost-efficiently. KPIs and SLAs have been drawn up together with installation partner Feenstra, which are evaluated every quarter. Monitoring the installation, via ReduQ, provides real-time insight into the performance and supports sustainability advice.
By reactivating the gas absorption heat pumps, QuaWonen reduces CO₂ emissions, without compromising on the reliability of the heat supply. Maintenance processes have become more efficient and transparent. istaDES also takes care of invoicing, contract management and processing of mutations. Energy tariffs remain competitive thanks to the collaboration with heat supplier Four Energy.
istaDES provides extensive reports twice a year and a quarterly financial and technical overview. These reports include debtor management, maintenance status, return per complex and complaint analyses. This gives QuaWonen a continuous grip on performance and processes.
