Compliance and Enforcement of Our Standards

Integrity and transparency are top priorities at ista. They form the basis for a relationship of trust among all ista employees and with all our stakeholders. With our Code of Conduct, we require all employees of the ista Group to comply with international standards relating to human rights, labour, anti-corruption, competition, and the environment. These standards comply with the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labour Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and the UN Convention Against Corruption.

Our compliance management system helps ensure that all requirements within the Group are met. The effectiveness of compliance management at ista has been confirmed through official certification by the Institute for Corporate Governance in the German Real Estate Industry (ICG). With our Business Partner Code, we require our suppliers to meet fundamental environmental, social, and governance standards. These include the ILO Declaration, the principles of the UN Global Compact, the principles of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the UK Modern Slavery Act.

It is important to us that we are aware of any compliance violations or potential misconduct that may breach applicable laws or our Code of Conduct.

ista offers all employees—as well as customers, suppliers, business partners, and any other external stakeholders—the possibility to submit reports via the “Speak Up” reporting system, including anonymously. The whistleblowing system is operated by an independent third party. All information is treated with strict confidentiality by ista’s compliance organisation. Whistleblowers are protected by ista from possible retaliation, provided the report is made in good faith. Please note that deliberately submitting false information is prohibited by law. For more information, please refer to our Complaints Procedure Regulation.

If you have concerns, you may also contact your direct supervisor/contact person at ista or the ista compliance organisation.

We appreciate your trust and support.
