Within the istaDES team at ista Netherlands, we manage and optimise communal heating, cooling and domestic hot water systems on behalf of housing associations, property owners and other professional clients. We support our clients with technical, operational and financial issues and actively contribute to making their systems more sustainable and future-proof.
To further strengthen our service offering, we are seeking an Operational Project Manager who will take ownership of their own portfolio of systems and who can effectively integrate technical aspects, operations, contract management and client interests. You will monitor performance, manage maintenance partners and identify opportunities to further improve reliability, sustainability and return on investment.
As an Operational Project Manager, you will be responsible for the technical, operational and financial performance of your own portfolio of district heating, cooling and domestic hot water systems. You monitor operations, manage maintenance partners and act as the designated point of contact for customers. Based on performance, risks and maintenance data, you initiate improvements that contribute to reliability, sustainability and sound operations.
Our office is based in Schiedam.
This is what you are going to do.
As an Operational Project Manager, you are responsible for the technical, operational and financial performance of your own portfolio of district heating, cooling and domestic hot water systems, which ista manages on behalf of its clients.
- You will manage maintenance partners and suppliers and monitor the fulfilment of contractual agreements, quality and service delivery.
- You will analyse performance, faults, maintenance data and financial results, and translate these into concrete improvement measures.
- You will identify technical, operational and financial risks and ensure timely and appropriate follow-up.
- You monitor budgets, quotations, contracts and operating costs within your portfolio.
- You monitor Long-Term Maintenance Plans (MJOPs) and ensure the proper implementation of maintenance, renovation and replacement activities.
- You advise clients on the performance, investments, risks and sustainability options for their systems.
- You report periodically to clients on the technical, operational and financial status of the installations.
- You are the designated point of contact for clients, maintenance partners and other relevant stakeholders.
- You actively contribute to the further professionalisation of services, processes and working methods within istaDES.

You have a higher vocational education (HBO) level of working and thinking, preferably in a technical field.

You have relevant experience in technical management, maintenance, operations or a similar technical environment.

You have an interest in district heating, cooling and hot water systems or similar energy systems.

You have experience in managing maintenance and service contracts and external suppliers.

You feel responsible for your portfolio and take ownership of technical, operational and financial issues.

You communicate easily with various stakeholders at an operational and tactical level.

You have excellent communication skills and can switch easily between dealing with customers, suppliers, maintenance partners and internal stakeholders.
