We have installed a humidity meter in your home

The main purpose of the meter is to prevent mould. Mould appears if the humidity in a residence is too high during a longer period of time. Mould can damage your health and be an economic liability to your building. 

Make use of the meter in the winter season

The humidity meter keeps you informed of the necessity to air out or heat up. Keep in mind that the meter is most useful in the winter season.  The humidity level in the summer season can be high both inside and outside. During hot and rainy periods you will experience that the sensor warns of a high humidity level even if you air out thoroughly.

The sensor takes care of itself

All you need to do is to keep an eye on the display. We don’t have to enter your residence to check the sensor. The battery lasts for 10 years.

How does the meter work?

The meter contains a small sensor, which monitor the humidity level and temperature of the residence every third minute. Every half hour the average of the measured data are calculated.  If the average is above 65% the meter sends a weekly message to ista informing us how long the humidity has been above 65%.

This means that we only gain access to the measured data, when the humidity level in a residence is too high. In periods where the outside humidity level is high, we of cause do not react to the measured data.

All you need to do is to keep an eye on the display. We don’t have to enter your residence to check the sensor. 
The battery lasts for 10 years.
