This is how doprimo® III radio works
doprimo® III is an electronic heat allocation meter suitable for all types of heating-systems. The meter is equipped with a display that automatically switches between four different views. This gives you the opportunity to keep track of you consumption at any time.
Be aware that the meter shows the consumption in units and not in kroner. By the annual reading the year's consumption is multiplied with a correction factor, which takes into account the heat output of the radiator, size and location. This gives the actual number of units.
(* = the difference between the meter reading value at the latest cut-off date and the meter reading value on the previous cut-off date)
On your heat statement the number of units will be multiplied with the price per unit. The price per unit varies from year to year depending on the operating conditions in the property's heating-systems and energy prices.
With doprimo® III the readings are collected wirelessly beyond the home. The meter reader does not have to enter your home and the tenants therefore do not need to be present at the time of reading.

Reduction due to thermal outer location
If an apartment, due to its location in the property is exposed for greater cold effects than the other apartments – and therefore has a higher heat consumption – it will be taken into account when the accountings are to be prepared. What happens is that the read consumption on one or more of the radiators in the particular apartment is reduced by a determined percentage of the consumption. The reduction is included in the meter correction factor.
The reduction requirement appears in the Ministry of Housing's order No. 563 of June 2, 2014, Executive Order on Individual measurement of electricity, gas, water and heat.

Six tips how to save on heat
- Avoid open windows when heating ...
Windows that are open – or just ajar - costs heat! Therefore, keep them closed, when heating. But air out each day as follows: Close radiators. Open windows and optionally doors for approx. 5 minutes. Close again and turn back the thermostat exactly as before.
- Air out the beedroom for the night ...
Turn down the heat and air out the bedroom for the night. Turn up the heat again the next morning.
- Do not leave rooms completely without heat ...
Do not leave separate rooms in the home completely without heat. It can cause humidity problems and make it difficult to keep neighboring rooms warm. Keep the minimum of 15 degrees in rooms you do not use. Always close the doors to rooms that are in use to avoid drag.
- Use all radiators equally ...
Use all radiators equally. It gives a better and more comfortable distribution of the heat. At the same time, the energy is utilized more efficiently. One fully open radiator uses more heat than four, which “runs on a quarter of the full force ".
- Careful when turning down the heat at night ...
Of course, you can turn down the heat at night and by day, if you are not home - but not too much. Are walls and furniture first cold, it costs extra to warm the room up.
- Do not cover radiators ...
Never cover radiators or thermostats with curtains, furniture etc. Never use the radiators as a drying rack - it costs extra heat.
"Hanging" radiator thermostats
A "hanging" radiator thermostat means that the valve to close the heat supply to the radiator do not close completely. There is constantly escaping some heat into the radiator, even if the thermostat is closed. The meter measures this heat.
If you live in a property where there is heat on the central heating system in the summer you have to be pay attention to malfunctioning radiator thermostats, because this causes unnecessary heat costs. If the radiator is hot during a period it is not supposed to be, you should contact the janitor of the property.
Radiator thermostats are frost-proof
If the radiator thermostat is cooled below 7-9 ° C it will automatically open the radiator heat - even though it is completely closed. This is due to the fact that the thermostat is frost proof. Therefore; never leave windows open for longer period of time during the heating season - especially not on cold days. Follow our heating advices.
If the meter shows a "P" in the display
If the meter detects an error, a "P" will appear in the display followed by an error code 2-8. If the meter displays an error code, contact the property janitor or administrator who will then contact ista Danmark A/S to correct the error. If the heat allocation meter has been out of service for a longer period of time, consumption will be calculated from heating degree-days of the period. Display of error codes only appears on permanent errors.
When heat consumption for fiscal year ends all meters on the property will be read.
- Property accounting period.
- The total cost of distribution of the property.
- Visualisation of the period you have been charged for.
- Distribution of total expenses of the property.
- Consumption of units in the property in total.
- Unit price in kroner, meaning; how much one unit costs.
- Your actual consumption.
- Your total bill for the period (= unit price x number of units).
- Your deposit.
- Postpay or refund. "Refund" means you should have money back while "Postpay" means you have paid too little in advance payment.
What does the heat cost this year?
The price of heat varies from year to year. Therefore the unit price is first known when the accounts are finalized. The final price is revealed when you receive your heat statement.
